 | A great and somewhat rare find. This is a signed Benedict Studios lamp base. The wide base flares up to a slender shaft topped off with hammered brass collar and cupped socket holder. Still retains most of its original patina. Lamps and information on these lamps is hard to find. This example may have had a wicker shade at one time. Very little literature is available on these lamps and what little is known is mostly through known signed and documented pieces. If anyone has any known or attributed examples of Benedict or OMS lamps, please feel free to forward picture and description of your piece and I'll be glad to post it on this site.

 | A rare and fine example of a Benedict Studios lamp shade. This one done in copper, brass and stained glass. It's unfortunate that the base has separated from the shade, but this still gives you an idea of the craftsmanship of the lamps. This one is currently looking for a base to match.

 | Another rare and important Signed Gustav Stickley hammered copper and stained glass lantern. The design and proportions of this piece really capture the spirit of the Arts and Crafts momement. There is some really fine detail in the glass and copper work on this lantern. This lantern was almost dumpster material if weren't for the owner doing his homework. Needless to say he funded the entire restoration of his vintage bungalow with the money he made from the sale. Good job!!! Photo Courtesy of Rago Arts.
